our partners

We are lucky to call these two organizations our main partners for our trip. They are supporting us in several ways during this project. Check out how awesome they are, and if can, show some love and share support for them!

Since 1999, Outdoor Outreach has served more than 8,000 young people through four core youth development programs: their Partner, Adventure Club, Military and Leadership programs. In partnership with three Title I high schools and more than 25 like-minded community partners, Outdoor Outreach opened the outdoors to more youth in 2015 than ever before, serving 1,244 young people through 391 outdoor recreation, education and environmental stewardship programs. Together with their partners, Outdoor Outreach uses the outdoors to inspire underserved youth to see possibility and opportunity in their lives, and realize the positive attitude and behavioral changes that help them become happy, healthy, successful adults.

Starting in 2003, Ben’s Bells is a project in Tucson, Arizona, with the mission to inspire, educate, and motivate people  to realize the impact of intentional kindness, and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness, thereby strengthening ourselves, our relationships and our communities. One of the main activities that Ben’s Bells is known for is the symbolic and iconic Ben’s Bell. The pieces that come together to form a bell is all from volunteers. Each month, thousands of volunteers with Ben’s Bells.Piece of the Bells are sculpted from clay, kiln fired, glazed, fired again and then assembled. By the time a Ben’s bell is finished, at least 10 people have participated in its creation. The Bells are then hung randomly around the community for people to find and take home as a reminder to practice intentional kindness. To date more than 50,000 bells have been hung in Tucson and beyond. In addition to bell distributions, Ben’s Bells Project provides kindness education programming for more than 340 schools, organizations and businesses.
